That's me, Gil, in the front seat and my friend Doug in the back seat. I earned my pilot's license in 2010. I earned my instructor's license in 2014. Mollie, my wife, earned her pilot's license in 2012. Come and fly with us and have some fun.
Your safety is our first concern. Whether you are a student pilot earning your license, or a seasoned pilot receiving a BFR or adding a rating, we always have fun while being safe.
We will provide to you a safe and fun experience. We strive to exceed your expectations. When the training is completed, you will be a safe and competent student Sport Pilot prepared to take the Check Ride.
One on one instruction makes learning easier and fun.
Are you a certificated pilot wanting to add a powered parachute rating? We do that too.
Not everyone wants to be a pilot. Some people simply want to sit back and enjoy the flight. This is for you.
If you have sport pilot privileges with a powered parachute rating, we can conduct your BFR and keep you current.
The abundance of beautiful countryside can be breathtaking. The variety of landscape within our range is incredible.
We guarantee our sales and repairs. We treat you like family and we will do our very best to satisfy you.
There are two ways to pay and they are described below. Paying for the training up front is the cheaper way to pay. I encourage students to pay using this method.
This is the cheaper way to pay. If you pay $2,000 up front at the beginning of training you will never pay us another penny for flight instruction. The FAA mandates 12 hours minimum of flight lessons. If it takes you 100 hours to learn to fly you will not owe us anything more. You are guaranteed that $2,000 will be the total that you pay us, period.
This is the more expensive method to pay. If you choose this method it will cost you more money. The FAA mandates that you must have 12 hours minimum flight instruction. At just the minimum of 12 hours you will be paying $2,400. Most students are not prepared for the Check Ride after only 12 hours and each additional hour costs you more money. With this method you will probably be thinking about how much each hour costs you instead of concentrating on what you should be learning.
Flight instruction costs $200 per hour. A BFR consists of 1 hour of ground school and 1 hour of dual time. We don't simply go fly. We will be reviewing regulations, principles of flight, safe operations, layout, etc. We will cover the Practical Test Standards on the ground and perform them during flight. A BFR is not simply a logbook endorsement, though that is part of it.
Flight instruction costs $200 per hour. A proficiency check ride consists of 1 hour of ground school and 1 hour of dual time. A proficiency check ride is not simply a logbook endorsement.
The introductory flight is not just a scenic pleasure flight. It is an hour of flight instruction. I will demonstrate chute layout, kite up, take off and landing. You will be in the pilot seat and I will be in the back seat. You will receive instruction on landing, touch and goes, and inflight operation. You and I will both be at the controls.
You will be in the passenger seat and I will be in the pilot seat. We will be flying around the county and we can go anywhere that you would like to go, your house, friends' houses, lakes, mountains, you name it.
These are additional costs that are not affiliated with us and we receive no part them.
This is a computer based knowledge exam administered by an FAA testing facility. In Richmond, KY we use Eastern Kentucky University.
We will provide to you all of the study material that you will need to pass the exam.
This is comparable to the road test that you took when you got your driver's license. The person that administers it is a Designated Pilot Examiner, (DPE). There is an oral question portion, and it is open book. After that is the practical portion that is the flying part.
Be the first to hear about upcoming course openings and special events. Your email address will be used only to send you information about us, period.
We look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to call us with any questions that you may have. If we miss your call, we will call you back as soon as possible.
